This past weekend we attended the Rowan Tree Foundation’s Butterfly Release in Parker. This event is held at the Memorial Plaza and is a place to honor children who are no longer here. We had a Memorial Tile created for Kenzi and this was the first time we were able to see it. It is beautiful. Here is a picture of the tile.
While we were there, Bailey came up to me with tears and talked to me about how much she misses Kenzi. I think this image was priceless in capturing her grief.
Dolls for Daughters raised $3682 and had 115 new toys donated for our Dolls for Daughters and Toys for Boys toy drive. These toys will be given away along with at least 3000 new toys to boys and girls in our community on December 11, 2010.
Dolls for Daughters held its 2nd Annual Bowl a Thon on May 22, 2010. This event was sold out and we had to turn bowlers away before the event. Eltich Lanes was kind enough to allow us to host this event at their bowling alley again this year. Our event had a ton of lane sponsors this year and we’d like to thank them for their support: Bachus & Schanker Cares Foundation, Hillyard, Wahlberg, Kudla & Sloane LLP, Injury Finance, LLC, Kelly Ramsdale & Associates, Inc., Myers Legal Video Services, LLC, NorthWestern Electrical, Roberts Levin Rosenberg PC, Apex Electric, Inc., Sanitas Skincare, Spine One and Masterguard Fire Safety.
